Old Fort Niagara Camperall

The 2007 Camperall event being held at Fort Niagara (driving directions) May 18-20 is huge and has a full program of fun, interactive activities as well as a deeply felt sense of Scouting pride and history. It was 100 years ago when Baden-Powell formed that first group on Brownsea Island and we are commemorating it with a celebration that very few current scouts have experienced.

Old Fort Niagara tours will be available on Saturday, from 9:00AM until 4:30 PM. Every paid registrant will receive one tour ticket, which is redeemed at the Old Fort Niagara Visitor Center. Any additional parents/drivers who show up at the Old Fort Niagara gate without a GNFC tour ticket may tour the Old Fort for $5.00. Tour tickets will be distributed to leaders at the Friday night leaders meeting. Your unit decides when you will tour the Old Fort, and you must go as a group with two – deep adult leadership, together & supervised at all times. The Old Fort Niagara experience begins at the new Visitors Center, which includes a PBS documentary movie, the restored 1812 garrison flag, gift shop, and comfortable restrooms.
