There is no meeting the Wednesday before Thanksgiving! However, there are some optional activities you may want to participate in:

St. Paul’s Church will be sponsoring a Thanksgiving Gift Basket Give-Away. They have divided needs by grade (den):

  • Tigers: Cutlery (i.e. plastic dishes, cups, napkins, spoons, knives, and forbs…)
  • Wolves: Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruits, and Fried Onions
  • Bears: Stuffing Mixes & Gravy Mix
  • Webelos 1: Tube Biscuit Rolls, Pie Crust/Pie Mix & Pie Filling
  • Webelos 2: Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate Mix, & Juice

Bins are in the front foyer of the former school.

Tuesday, November 23rd – 7PM- Basket Bundling
St. Paul’s is in need of A LOT of Volunteers to help with the bundling of the Baskets that will be given away. Please consider helping them this night put the baskets together so they are ready to be delivered picked up the next day.

The Basket Bundling is a great family event – bring siblings!

While we encourage your participation, this is not a Scouting event. This is a family activity, so no need for uniforms, sign-ups, etc.

Mr. Clint will be contacting you regarding your upcoming outing on December 1st. Because this is also popcorn payment day, bring your check to the meeting and Mr. Clint will get it back to us.

Popcorn FAQ

Here are some common questions about our popcorn sale, and our best answers:

How much do I have to sell?
Answer to youth: fill a sheet! Remember, when you fill a sheet, you get to throw a pie in a leader’s face!
Answer to adults: $240

How do I sell?
You can easily sell $240 in less than 2 hours going door-to-door. You can fill a sheet going door-to-door in about 3 hours. You can also sell to friends and family, or take the order form into work. If your Scout missed our popcorn training, ask Mr. Jim, Mr. Eric, or Mr. Clint for some help! There is a proven script we use that will get you sales!

If you’re interested in selling online, create an account at trails-end.com and follow the directions.

When are orders due?
Orders are due at the Halloween party, October 27th.

When do I collect the money?
If you can get it while you sell, go ahead. It’ll make delivery easier. If not, money is due when the order is delivered.

Who should checks be made out to?
We want a single check from you when you pay for your order, so have your customers make checks out to you directly. Deposit all checks & cash, then when you pay for your entire order, please give us one check.

When will popcorn be delivered?
You will deliver popcorn to your customers, “right before Thanksgiving”.

When is the money due?
Payment for your entire order is due on December 1st.

Please drop-off your popcorn payments by Sunday November 29th at Mr. Eric’s house (119 Knowlton in Kenmore, near the corner of Myron Ave) as a single check payable to Pack 529. If nobody is home, please put the check in the mailbox.

Because of how Thanksgiving fell this year, we are unable to give you until the meeting after Thanksgiving to collect. We need to pay GNFC early this year, so we need your payments early, too!!
